Entstehung des Vereins „Schrebergärten Wien und Umgebung“ – heute „Kleingartenverein Rosental“

Die Möglichkeit, in den Gärten zu übernachten, wird positiv ausverhandelt.

Die „Rosentaler“ initiieren die Gründung des Zentralverbandes. Der Rosentaler Johann Nikolaus wird zum ersten Obmann des „Zentralverbandes der Kleingärtner und Siedler“ gewählt.

Die Anzahl der Gärten hat sich von ca. 400 im Entstehungsjahr auf ca.850 mehr als verdoppelt.


1934 – 1938
Zeitweise Auflösung des Vereins im austrofaschistischen Ständestaat wegen Tätigkeiten im sozialdemokratischen Sinn.


1938
Zwangseingliederung in den „Reichsbund Deutscher Kleingärten“. Lt. Erlass des Reichsarbeitsministers „ist Sorge zu tragen, dass ungeeigneten Familien gekündigt wird….“


1945
Wiederaufbau, eine demokratische Vereinsleitung wird gewählt.


1982
Der „Kleingarten- und Wirtschaftsverein Rosental“ erhält die höchste internationale Auszeichnung „Die goldene Rose“.


1992
Beginn der Umwidmung auf Eklw (Erholungsgebiet Kleingarten für ganzjähriges Wohnen). Das ganzjährige Wohnen und eine Verbauung von maximal 50 m² wird damit möglich.


1999
Die ersten Pachtgründe werden im Eigentum erworben.


2009
Umbenennung von „Kleingarten- und Wirtschaftsverein Rosental“ in „Kleingartenverein Rosental”


2010
100-Jahre Jubiläum mit großer Feier und Festschrift


2019
Alle 12 Gruppen sind fast zur Gänze auf EklW (ganzjähriges Wohnen) umgewidmet.
